MEMORIES
This turned out to be a very special blog hop for me.
January is the birth month for my dad
James R Hitch (1912-2000)
and
my mom's little sister,
Norma June Christiansen Morris Maiers (1919-2001)
Using red beads was a must
one for Dad and one for Aunt Norma.
one for Dad and one for Aunt Norma.
They say that life happens while you're making plans.
Well, so does death.
On December 12th, 2012 my cousin June was in a serious motor vehicle accident and critically injured. Two days later, my uncle (my mom's little brother) and his younger daughter Norma made the heart wrenching decision to cease the life support. June passed within a short time. She was the first of the cousins (ages 74 to 51)to leave this world for a better place.
June was 53 years old. She was an amazing woman. Tall (6'3" - that's not a typo), smart and caring - very much so as she was a nurse. She had a great sense of humor (she'd tell you she was 5'15"), had a wonderful laugh and was as beautiful as her mother Beverly.
Our family is great for nick names.
June's was JuneB and JuneBug.
The next part of the bracelet involves Bees and LadyBugs.
She was born in the month of June so pearls were also needed.
While the magnets I used aren't pretty, they are incredibly strong and tiny,
and not very noticeable.
I will be sending this to my cousin Norma as a memory bracelet in honor of her sister
June Bliss Christiansen Wilson (1959-2012)
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
and the link to the rest of the memory and thanks blogs
